maybe just a little bithaha .................. i might change since you said that and come up with some insane custom star shaped filter that sits in the boot
but serious ill prob just get what everyone else has
haha i would like a little more of a dump sound, but now with the new boost pipe i like the turbo noise much more haha
damm u stole my idea
No harm in playing safe. Hows the DV relocation going? always wondered if it made a diffrence

Good going mate. Pure fun these type of ends aren't they![]()

There are three engine/gearbox mounts - the "dogbone" (underneath the car), one mount under the battery and another on the other side of the engine.
A lot of people just upgrade the dogbone (me included, I got an ECS one) but THS Performance do a full set called FR3. That's pretty popular on here too, although again you can buy just the dogbone or the side mounts separately. The full set was priced at around £150 I think, not sure what it costs now.
More track-oriented users sometimes go for kits from Vibratechnics or INA, I don't know a lot about theirs but a quick search in the mk1 Leon section should have a fair bit of info.
I found that just doing the dogbone made a fair difference, the car responds better to a good kick in the throttle as the engine doesn't squirm around as much, and less wheelhop under hard booting in lower gears. I may go for the THS side mounts at some point just to complete the set![]()
so theres only 3 mounts i need for upgrading both the engine / transmisson ??
i was 100% going to get a dogbone mount but if there was a kit for say all i would just get haha to be lazy, how hard are the mounts to fit you know??
cheers :thanks:
I didn't do the dogbone myself, the car was going to have work done anyway so the garage did it for me but I understand it's a reasonable DIY job so long as you have a good, accurate torque wrench and a good pair of axle stands. The undertray has to come off which can be a pain in the ass.
The side mounts require ideally an engine hoist to take the load of the engine while you swap them as it's these two that hold the engine's weight, the dogbone is more just to stop it trying to spin around in the bay. I've heard of folk putting the front end up on ramps, sticking a jack under the engine with a block of wood in between and supporting it that way but I wouldn't if it was mine
And yes, it's just those three you need to change all the engine mount points (all the load-bearing ones anyway). THS used to do a discount for members of this forum, possibly worth dropping them an email first to ask![]()
but will see i do like a little DIY.If you know someone to sort your MOT... go decat
I have a Milltek 3" full turbo back with 200 cell race cat, but would have no problems running a decat.

Nice one, now stop being so lazy and get them on![]()
