Help!! Air Vent Surrounds

Iam having problems fitting the chrome surrounds for the air vents! when i removed the old ones the hose kinda fell thro and i cant get it into position i got 1 side in with pot luck but cant get the other! Anybody know a way of getting the vent back into position without taking out the centre console a wouldnt have a clue how to get it back on

i no what u mean mine did similar,managed to wedge mine back in ok with some pushing shoving and turning all at once lol.

maybe some washing up liquid to soften the rubber so it slides on easier.

guy at garage fitted mine and he just pulled the whole air vent out. it all fits through the hole but it is tight. then you can position it a lot easier but just pushing it back in

i used the flat blade things (for removing the headunit) to reach in and push the clips back down then some combi pliers t pull the vent back through the hole
