The angel eyes are the light units, which have the ring insdide round each bulb. And standard Halogen bulbs.

You can replace those haologen bulbs with HID's (Xenons) which are much brighter bulbs.. but they are £100 for the Bulbs and ballasts, on top of the Angel eyes.

i got my LHD projector/angel eye headlamps from ULTRA through Carnoisseur

cost me £220 (retail at £240!)

HID kit from karl through slim jim on here for £150

if u want karl's mobile i can give it to you.

BUT tbh i want to stress how this is no simple mod!

for startes just to fit these head lamps u have to take ur front bumper off to take the OE set out!

and thats the easy bit!

fitting HID to this cheap quality projector head lamps is very hard!!!!

as far as i know only rob don and I have done this...

you have to dissmantle the headlamps completely! and then drill where the bulb goes in so that the hole is bigger to accomidate the HID bulb.

you then have to put it back together, making sure you have 100% cleaned the projectors and lenses/cover and that there are no loose shavings of metal anywhere.

and then reasal the unit.

the whole conversion is such a nightmare and in hindsight i wouldnt do it again!

i would however fit the HID kit to the OE lights which takes 20 mins!

the HID bulbs DO fit straight in them!

and you can doo all of this without removing the headlamps from the car!

so please bare all of this in mind!

despite what i have said and the fact in hindsight i would just HID'd the OE lights... i still love the look of my black projectors and love the look of HID thru the projectors (looks better thru projectors than normal lights) and love the fact barely no one else has them! :p

over and out!

great reply cheers
thinking i may just be as wel with some angel eyes
seen some on ebay but not too sure about ebay buys these days
i wont be fitting them personally
i do realise about the HID fitment and dismantling the headlights, doubt i will attempt this

are the angel eyes really quite dim as opposed to OE headlights with uprated bulbs in?

From what I remember from helping Garpusmentus fit his, I think it might be intended for the indicators, but only on the drivers side as the passenger side is fed from the big plug, or possibily they are intended to go on the fogs.

Either way, we just taped them up to stop water getting in and tied them on to the other wires out of the way.

If you can't find anywhere to plug them in, don't panic - you most likely don't need them.

Cheers, Will
