Hello All,

I need help, I have a MY05 LCR, with the mods listed in my sig below, anytime I do logging I always see lots of CF’s, I have read a bit about them and basically they are correction factors and caused by the ECU retarded the timing for a few different reasons? that’s great, but I do not have the knowledge to analysis the logs to see whats what?

The car was remapped in another country on 98ron, we only have 95ron in Ireland, could this be the problem? I have been onto the company that remapped it and they told me not to worry about CF;s that if they get to high the car would go into limp mode to protect itself, I do not know how true this is, but I do know to many are bad.

I did some logging today as below, as while there are CF;s I have seen them much worse, never the less they are still there. In addition to this I see a boost spike to 1.6/1.7 bar and then it drops back to 1.4/1.5 bar, is this too much?

Would any of you kind experts care to take a look over the logs an see if everything is ok? I have considered retarding the timing with Unisettings but would like all yours opinions first.

Thanks in advance, and sorry for all the questions

Worried LCR owner.

P.S I have an FMIC on the way, could this help me reduce CF’s?

Hmm, the thing is though, that octance booster is £10 to £15 over here, so every tank of petrol would cost me a lot more, having said that i will defo give it a go and failing that, maybe adjust the timing to suit the shite petrol we get over here?

thanks for your input James, i just read your thread about poor CF's start to finish, did you get it sorted in the end?

If the car was mapped for 98Ron fuel then 95Ron would prob cause some cf's, yes.

You could take out some timing with Lemmiwnks and see if that helps.

Potentialy. But if the ECU is pulling back that much as it is it could already be redusing output. If it is and by lowering the timing it reduces cf's then it could potentialy be making more power as its running better.

still on it mate, looking at reducing inlet temps, and going to try millers octane plus per tanks then relog.

boost leak testing under way next week aswell, not sure this would cause cfs but im positive theres a leak somewhere.

i adjusted timing both ways, and upped fuelling via unisettings, didnt do anything for my cfs.

Hello all,

Well i fitted a new FMIC and my CF's look better, see logs below, temps seem to be down also, they now get lowerthe more RPM i have! does anything else look to have improved from the logs below.

Also i notice the Lambda % values are alot lower, what does this do and should it be lower?

Thanks

Inlet temps are fine, as are cf's but its not making the requested boost. Its also chucking in a little fuel after 5720rpm, but nothing to worry about.

Could be a boost leak....

Block 031 gives you actual rueling and requested fueling, lambda x 14.7 to get AFR.

Hi Damoegan,

I did a log as below, i only logged 115 so i could get a better sample rate, Is it requested in the first column and actual in the second, if so i am not making requested boost from about 4040rpm on

id say your boost looks fine mate all the stage 1 logs i have seen including my new map dont meet the requested after 5500 rpm the stock tubby with no down pipe etc eill only really hold 1.0-1.1 bar after that point to the red line it meets the requested till that point so i wouldnt worry mate the only way of meeting the requested after 5500 is down pipe race cat and uprated actuator
