Hoses and fixings

When i do the N249 bypass, i want to upgrade my hoses to red silicone, i have the hose already but im struggling to find somewhere to buy t-pieces. Also is it best to get jubilee clips or use cable ties, are they strong enough?

i never needed a t piece when i done mine infact you gain one when changing the hoses

use jubillee clips. Avoid using cable ties if you can

If you need a "T" piece then try a pet shop that sells fish tanks

I get all my jubilee hose clips (don't use cable ties) and connectors from demon tweeks. Cheap as chips!

Use a brass T piece as plastic will turn brittle from the heat.

You will need a 6mm brass T piece for 4mm silicon pipe.

Cable ties are fine for this sort of thing....jubiliee clips are overkill for a 6mm T piece and are not needed on vacum lines

I'd only use jubilee clips on pressured hoses.

Can you get mini clips to use on the 4mm vacuum hoses? Could do with getting some more of those one use clips that are standard on the car. Does anyone know where I can get them from?
