How do these 2 cars compare?

The Volkswagen Polo GTi vs Seat Ibiza FR?

Does the Polo have a better chassis, engine, reliability, handling etc, or are they both essentially just the same cars with different price tags and brands? I've heard that the Ibiza is based on a Mk3 Polo chassis, but I'm not sure.

Has anyone here driven both and can provide me with a comparison? My friend is telling me to go for Polo GTi but I have no idea how this drives yet. Price doesn't always equal quality you know

have driven both and to be honest there's very little difference between the two really. theyre both quick, but not too harsh like the cupra. polo will be more expensive but i wouldnt say its any better. (unless it has the tartan style interior, which is kinda cool!)

yes...reason being why they should be practically the same inside space-wise

P.S. the ibiza PD130 pulls away slightly quicker (unless if the drivers i've tested are all pants )

I agree. Isn't the Ibiza chassis supposed to be modelled on the Polo and the Leon on the Golf?

i think its the worst car for doing that as the roofs smaller in the back... so i've heard

yea i thought the the ibiza was pretty much the same to the polo gti ...
