Ordered a 300 manual, in Desire Red, Sunroof, keyless entry, wireless charging and winter pack (g/for gets a cold bum). First Seat, 52, currently driving I Focus St 2013, counting the days. Insurance quote £271, the joys of 'maturity'!

Curious, who is your insurance with? I've got a Cupra 300 ST DSG 4drive on order and will be shopping around for insurance.

At the moment it's Direct Line, however the quote was through compare the market and was with Swinton.

So I'm driving a Cupra 300 5dr DSG and I'm 30. My insurance is £700 a year but thats with my 44 year old wife and her maxed no claims as the primary driver. Oh and I've only had a licence for 4 years, my first car was a brand new Octavia VRS Petrol, happy days!

Blimey! You guys under 30, how can you afford to buy AND insure it? You leasing it? I'd be living the dream if I was able to get myself in that sort of car back then.

I'm 34 with a modded mk2 FL Leon. My first Leon was a mk1 SE 13 years ago that was second hand with a load of miles on it.

I've decided to lease this car. Its my second car (OH will be using it whilst I'm away) and I have owned all my other cars. The IMG Warrington deal has made this car a steal. Just spent a small fortune renovating my house so didn't have the spare fund available to buy my second car so decided to lease for 2 years and see how I like it. I am not bothered that I wont own the car at the end of the agreement as I am more than happy to spend £250 a month for the enjoyment of a Cupra 300 for 2 years. Money well spent I think, could have worse hobbies. Working in the Oil industry also helps fund these kinds of hobbies.

My last 4 cars I've owned (not leased) have been the following:
Ford Mondeo 2.0 Zetec - Baby Wagon and commute to work machine
Audi A3 2.0TDi Black Edition 170 DSG
BMW Z4 3.0si - Most fun I've had in a car so far gutted I sold it.
MK5 Golf GTi

A few more previous to this but my first car was a 1.4 Seat Ibiza N Reg which cost me £350 and the insurance was £1500. I loved the Seat so I'm looking forward to getting in one again.

^^^ Welcome back BopoWarls, it dont matter if you own or lease just as long as you enjoy.
AndrewJP started a poll and 48% were owned the rest via other methods.

I have had mine for 3 years and it still makes me smile even better when one of the boy racers are out to play and dont see they are playing with a Cupra and get left behind :), then its a great car to take the family out in and i can range from 25 to 35 mpg

Good to be back! I have to be honest I was after a Golf R. Hadn't even looked at a Cupra until someone posted the lease deal. Just so happened to be by a Seat garage that had one in stock to test drive whilst I was on a training course. By far the better car (for me personally anyway) so put and order for one instantly. Its a wolf in sheeps clothing for sure plus there are Golf Rs absolutely everywhere.. Just have a long wait until mine arrives :(

OH really wanted something bigger or an estate as the car we are replacing is a 65 reg Ford Focus and the pram only just squeezed in the boot. We were both pleasantly surprised with the boot space of the Cupra. Pram fit in easily with plenty of room spare.

I had been driving a Nissan 370Z 3.7 V6 for a while so as long as fuel was better than that we were winning.

Man after my own heart. I said to somebody the other day I much prefer the Cupra over the Golf R.
Simply because you have to drive the Cupra the Golf is a great car but its not such a great driver experience

Also as you say there are now lots of R's Lease cars out there Older Cupra's are still not so out there.

Love the Nissan great car but as you know not so good for the family or the pocket.

25 years old driving a Cupra 290 DSG. Picked up a Leon FR 1.4tsi when I was 23 and I had been dreaming of real power ever since. Happily made the change this year and I've been loving it since.

37, Cupra 300 ST 4Drive on order. Had twins last year so needed a Dad wagon, and it ticked all the boxes. Golf R is nice but I prefer the styling of the SEAT

At 25 I had a Sunbeam Rapier Mk IIIa twin SU carbs and 4 speed with overdrive on 3 and 4 - so 6 gears!! Got anything from 20 to 35 mpg depending how it was driven. Didn't need a computer in those days for tuning! Guess I am too b***y old but still enjoying the Mk6 Golf GTI as well as the Leon.

Im 31 waiting on a new Cupra 300 in Desire Red sold my mk2 Cupra R couple of years ago missed it ever since. Didn't think id be able to afford a Cupra but the leasing deals at the minute are unreal.

34, Cupra300. In my early twenties I was a serious scooby nut and I think thats around the time I had my classic STI
