Engine code is visable on a metal tab to the bottom left of the engine cover when facing the car. should be AUQ?

Yes.

Engine code also visible on V5 logbook, first 3 digits of engine number. Not necessarily AUQ, could be APP or AJQ also. There were a couple of 1.8T engine types that required bolt-down coil packs, none were fitted to the Leon so the BAM (LCR225, Audi S3/TT) coil packs will be fine.
