should be getting one in a year or so, buying a house some point next year so diff will have to wait :(

will also need a clutch too, as still on standard one  dont know how thats lasting but hey it is :D

yeah, but didnt even feel like it was going to give up after that beating around track, and it aint going to get much more of a beating than it did yesterday  no smells or anything

that is rather high, is it defo just a normal k03s? not a k04-001 is it?

no worries chris, i'm getting them to keep the map fairly low to be honest, not going for max power, but power throughout the range :D ya never know though, see what it comes out at

its never up near 250 sparky, maybe only just 240 now was about 230 before manifold, no more

Its a normal k03s turbo that is one my car. But you sould be making more bhp now then wath i made then. I was thinking about another manifold but dit not thought is would make much difference. And after the software exchange i new i made the ride choice.

If it ain't broke don't fix!! wish i could live by that rule

Certainly did get a hammering yesterday, but that's what we build them for :)

sure is :D

going back to jbs with it tomorrow, to get this gasket sorted, hopefully for the last time, although i'm not on the track for a while now, so might last alot longer, only seems to do it on the track, guess its the heat build up or summin

you still thinking of getting the new JBS04 Mani when they release it?

Was talking to the designer of it the other night at Derby Meet :D

the man that no longer works for them?

dont think i'll be buying it to be honest, not gonna produce as well as the one i got, even if it is easier to fit

how much you payd for the hybrid turbo??miught go hybrid my self.got any picetures of the engine bay with new turbo.
awsome car mate:)

little update, the JBS tubular manifold is staying off, going back to standard until i decide whats going on, hopefully picking it up tomorrow

going to be pants loosing power  but need it to be reliable again, probs will end up getting the new JBS manifold in the end, and selling the tubular one

That seems the semsible option if it keeps blowing gaskets, shame though :(

right got the car back on saturday

cant use it hard, as EGT's will destroy the standard manifold  waiting for JBS to produce there new cast high flow manifold and my car will be going in straight away for it to be fitted, so will kinda be a test car for the manifold, and there going to tweek the map and give me RR figures before and after with the new manifold, so hopefully will be all good :D:D

but for now its just a case of driving it normally :( which is difficult

So what was wrong with the JBS tubular manifold in the end for it to keep blowing the gasket?

Thing is the new JBS cast mani will be the same as the tubular one just stronger. (?)

If its anything like mine, the bolts (supplied by JBS as part of the kit) were not long enough, so the locking nuts never locked on properly....leading the bolts to become loose and start blowing, which in turn ruined the gasket and required a new one to be fitted

in the end I had some new tensile bolts made up which were long enough so the nuts locked onto them properly

however James Silverstone was adament it was my turbo:rolleyes:

Quote : " his chocolate turbo " lol

the arrogance was astounding!

anyway, I will be interested to see the production line of their new manifolds and how it performs on your car Ian

I did actualy hear him say that about something else , so i belive you all the way ( made me laff at the time as i remembered your thread lol )
