I have had the most shittest weekend ever!!!

On Saturday morning I was driving home from Gosport. There was a van parked up half on the pavement. It had the metal bit on the side that you strap windows too.. Well you know it sticks out about a foot at the bottom. Well Silly me didn't see it and drove straight into it :(

Luckily it only scratched my bumper, wheel and burst my front n/s tyre.. So lucky I didn't scrap the entire n/s of my car. Still bloody gutted as the tyre cost £60 :(

Oh and also welcome to the world of being single :( Joy

That is pretty Sh@t... sorry to hear it!
I done the nearside of my back bumper somewhere but dont even know where!! Probably had stereo up too high to notice it happening!

As for being single... enjoy it! When you are young you dont want to be tied down! ;)

On a serious note.. how much would it cost for a respray of the back bumper?? If I done most of the prep work sanding down and that?

think we have all done something like that before! I was doing a 3 point turn in a narrow road. There was a skip behind me where i was reversing. Dumbass me thought i could go back a little bit further until i heard crunch as the skip arm (where the chains go round to lift it) was stickin out and i cracked my rear light cluster and put a wee ding underneath it.

As for the being single part - just get yourself on a good night out wit your mates and make the most of your freedom again:D

Haha.. Yeah glad I'm not married.

It's only a scratch on the bumper, but will need some filler as is gone through all the paint, primer and filler work. opps. Tis about 3 inches long. That doesn't massivley bother me as it needs respraying any way as some idiot hit it whilst it was parked.

:( :( Sorry to hear it, I've reversed into a wall before, not as bad as it sounds, could see a flat wall behind me, but hidden by the C pillar was a bit that poked out. Cracked the corner of the bumper on my old car :(

These things happen :) I guess you just learn from your mistakes!

And I'm really sorry to hear about your breakup.. Tis a horrible feeling. But we can't help but have them! Have fun being single and spend some quality time with your friends! :)

I drive one of those vans with the 'metel bit' (frail ;)) on the side when parked for long periods of time mostly outside my house i park it with the frail parked into the kerb for that exact reason. Back in the winter some TIT did exactly the same i say TIT becasue they didnt even stop. I could imagine there car was a right state though as the frail was crumpled and there thickish metel and didnt help the 2500m sq bit of glass on the side either. Needless to say i didnt have to get up at 6am for the job that it was for :D. But dont feel alone your not the only one that has done it seen it loads of times!

David.

Chris - Was with my other half for well over 2 years... :(

David - I had to stop the bang was unreal. That scared me the most, never ever popped a tyre before. And I thought that I had damaged his van but nope not even bent the metal bit.
