I have a 2001 ibiza 20v turbo with the half leather front seats. They are a bit worn and squeak alot. I also dont think they are of that good a quality. Does anyone know what other seat seats will fir? ie will leon cupra seats fit? Also anywhere i could get my seats rebuilt so they dont squeak anymore?

Any help much appreciated.

Cheers!

is it the seats or the rails because the rails do it alot this can be sorted with any kind of grease i found white grease the best but be carefull where you spray it

Mine squeak all the time mate, its well annoying. There are various seats that fit but not sure if it would sort the sqeauking. You could always try tightening the seats to see if it helps?

Dont reckon the ibizas were exactly put together that well

Basically the guy i bought the car off was rather fat so the drivers seat feels really worn. The passenger seat is fine. I just want it stripped and rebuilt with new covers etc. Any ideas how much that would be?

I once read on here somewhere that a friend dropped a fag on his seat and for the cover alone was around £250, i might have read it wrong, that might have been just the cover or fitted but still your looking at a fortune.

I did kind of think that it would be far too expensive to redo my original seats. I was kind of hoping the seaks out of a mk4 gold might fit or a polo gti. I have no idea though!

mk4 golf seats wont bolt straight in. u would have to mess rnd with the seat base. would be bit of a nitemare. think mk5 polo gti seats fit straight in if u can find a leather set would be pretty cool.

golf mk4 is possible in mk3 but you have to grind some things!

and mk3 golf is direkt fit

My seats are well squeaky too, Heres my answer to the prob bought them today, 6 months of squeaking was enough to drive me mad.... not everyones cup of tea though

Don't have any squeeks with mine, but people have kicked my flimsy black plastic covers that are on the joint where my bloody seat pivots! aaaaaaarrrgh!

I know the polo seats fit (mk4?) as some people use the passenger subframe to make the seat adjustable up and down, as it always sits higher than the drivers seat.
