I am now positive mine is the map. I have replaced and checked everything, even took the n75j valve off and put standard back on but it still did it just not as aggressive, cant say mine has ever cut out or had any other running problems.
This is shite news Vicky, good to see you in Brighouse the other day too - wasn't quite sure who u were at first, ur face just looked farmiliar.....
Anyhow.....as Bill has already said will he not put ECU back to stock and give you refund? I bet Will @ P-Torque could give the ECU some magic....

Havnt asked, not sure if i am within my rights to ask. I would prefer Wayne to take the map off and go elsewhere, but what does this involve? does he just plug into diagnostics plug to wipe it?

P-Torque are in Wolverhampton http://www.p-torque.co.uk/ Highly recommended. IIRC its only £265 for they stage 1 map for SCN members.

been reading this post and cant beleive the amount of hassle you have had. I agree thou with bill see if you can get that refund.

It hasnt yet! i am gonna put the suspension up an inch and take it back to chip wizard, which is easier said than done its been on nearly 2 years untouched and i cant get it to budge at all. Think im gonna end up paying someone to do it, and im only gonna put it back down again when its finally sorted.
Have done the N249 bypass tho, wasnt gonna but glad i did there is a noticable difference.

I have never spotted this thread before, strange lol. Anyway my car is mapped by chip wizards! by wayne himself. Wayne is the only person that works there apart from someone who answers the phone once every other day, wayne is the owner. His is very good at his job but his attitude its jokes! he never ever answers his phone, doenst give a **** about your car and is very very rude! My car was sent there by awesome gti because they were struggling to map it, chip wizards had the car for around 4 months!!!!! This was his excuse. "im struggling to map your car and now i havent done it in the normal time its gonna cost me money so you are going to have wait for it and i will do it when i have time" (which is never) I could never ever get in touch with him up until the point i thought my car was stolen i drove the hour and half journey to his garage just to see if i could talk to him but it was locked up when i got there, but i could see my car inside. When i finally got the car back he was very cheeky saying i dont know why you even bother put money into that car its not even a propper car lol. anyway thats my insite to "chip wizards" hardly a wizard! more like a co*k! i
I agree with everything you said Mikey, he told me half a day to map mine but had it 4!! i couldnt get hold of him and had to go over to get bags of attitude, i know deep down he has no intention of sorting my car, cant understand why he says he will do the work if he cant be bothered.

My map is fine to fair and ive had no running issues at all, but he did have it long enough. I have done so much more to up the bhp on my car like new exhaust system, high flow mani, intercooler etc etc since that map and it really does need remapping to get the most out of it. I was thinking i dont want to send it back to him because he might take ages again but he said it would only take him half a day to day but it would cost me the full £550 remap price, i asked him why because i already have it mapped i just want it tweeking he said because i will be remapping that remap so it will just be another remap lol, so i havent bothered. Im gonna get bill to map it hopefully in the future just havent got the time at the mo to sort it out because i will have to get hold of him and ask him if he has put a code on the chip map etc
