On the top flange Dave.

The top flange has to ground down compleatly flat, a good 4/5mm IIRC.

Squeal does indeed happen at the top end of boost.. probably at the point at which the wheels would usually begin to lose grip - when it happens i get extra vibration.

...also I've noticed it doesn't SEEM to happen when the car is stone cold.. I'm not in the habit of trying for full boost when it's cold but it only seems to squeal when warm, worse when HOT.

What are we saying, turbo issue or mani fitting/leak issue..

when the engine get warm the mani maybe changing size and creating a leak maybe get it warmish and tighten the bolts be very careful though not too tight what does anyone else think ?

If the mani has a blow/leak, should be able to tell as it would leave a sooty stain behind where its escaping from.
