Hi everyone, I've just got my boost gauge for my 2005 Cupra and spend the whole weekend trying to install it but I haven't been able to find the right place through which I could pass the vac line from the engine bay to the interior, I've tried passing it throught the place where the hood cable runs but it gets stucked without saying that is very hard to work in that area, at least in the cars with the steering wheel at the left side.

I've also searched a lot of forums and haven't been able to find anything with especific info regarding this.

I hope you guys can help me out, since that's the only thing I'm still missing to be able to install my boost gauge. :help:

Cheers!

Is your left hand or right hand drive? This is right hand drive.

Top right hand side behind the strut, you'll see a large silver cable. This is where my vac pipe goes, then that lands inside behind the glove box, but on left hand drive I believe the bonnet release is on the opposite side. So instead go up the left hand side. You have to punch through some grommets and the firewall.

Leaving work, will sign back in when I get home.

Thanks Rick, mine is left hand drive, I'll check if I have the same in mine but on the oposite side. I'll keep you guys posted.

Cheers!!

I've just looked at mine and as I imagined...it didn't have the same entry point at the oposite side but in the left side it has a grommet in the place where yours have the wire for the hood...that may be an option.

If someone else has any other idea I will really appreciate it.

Cheers!

Its the only option for getting anything through to the cabin, basically if your bonnet release o=is on the left hand side there should be a grommet on the right hand side. That is the only entry point, well most people have gone through these grommets with amp wires etc.

Ok Rick, I'll use either way to get my vac line into the cabin.

Thanks for your help!
