I'm go through Sky Insurance (a broker), and I've not had a problem. It was one of those things that had to be declared really... if someone hits your front right wing, the strut brace is going to transfer some of that over to the left wing - and that won't add up to the insurance company when they look at it.

At least that's how I see it. What's their reason for not insuring it? Seems a bit silly.

"Seems quite high, we can add these modifications to a quote free of charge. When your insurance falls due for renewal please try us for a quote as our specialist polices are very modification friendly. We can even add a Re-map to quote free of charge"

Quote from one of Greenlight's responses in a thread. Obviously depends on the circumstances, but in this instance I would guess there wouldn't be any charge for the strut brace either.

And if someone smacks your front right wing and then that causes damage to the left side suspension aswell? It'll be hard to explain wouldn't it?
