Hello guys I am once again after your help with this little car, some of you may recognise me from this thread: http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=322861

To save you reading that lot basically my MAP sensor was intemittently failing and died altogether after no more than a few hours of driving.
After loads of messing around I trying to diagnose the fault I replaced it, all was well for around 45 min worth of driving!
The same fault is back with a brand new genuine MAP sensor, at the moment it is not to bad but I fear it is just going to go the same way so I really need to get to the bottom of it.
Fault is as follows: The boost will occasionaly drop to .4 bar and refuses to get any higher unless you turn off ignition and turn back on, this can happen straight from cold or when being thrashed it really doesnt seem to matter. I have had a brief look over the wiring and it appears to be ok apart from the retaining spring on the clip that plugs into the sensor is missing so I have bodged with a cable tie for now.

Has anyone experienced this before or could you point me in the right direction please?!?

These are symptoms of N75 valve from my own experience.

Thanks for your input buddy but I changed the N75 for an uprated one last time round and it made no diffrence, the codes it was throwing up was definetly MAP and a new part temporarily cured it.

When you say uprated it's not the j valve Or the awesome version? As these are renowned for causing limp mode! Best off putting the normal f or h valve back on as the gains are minimal

From experience, is the fault, implausible signal - intermittent/sporadic? I had a Leon 1.6 do this on me, the throttle body wasnt adapted correctly.

No just the H valve buddy from TPS

It seems to be completely random matey, my best bet is going to be wiring but I really dont know where to look and there definetly isnt anything obvious. What do you meen when you say your throttle body wasn't adapted?

The throttle body wasnt adapted correctly and it was showing a fault on the map sensor, does it idle high?

ive got the same sort of issue but when i plug in the maf and map get missing and blake smoke

un plug the maf its fine and get traction control light on! but no eml

change the maff going to get a map this week sorted just werid

OK so ive changed the turbo and actuator over the past few weeks, k03s as before and a forge actuator with standard spring. Checked all piping is correct and all sensors etc are connected but stuck in limp mode like the MAP sensor has completely died AGAIN! What the hell can be causing this? its completely doing my nut in!
