I'm just hoping to get over 20mpg one day.

I presume you are still enjoying the power....
got 37mpg when running in the Golf cruising @ 90mph up to Scotland..
(flip side of coin is I could also manage about 4mpg when trying) :bleh:

...It's the shock loading that'll break things. Lots of wheelspinning, getting air and then landing on ful power, or any other 11/10's behaviour that puts large shocks into the drive train will break stuff.

  :hide:

Just an update. The Ibiza kits are not fully completed until the tips come back at the end of the week beginning of next. So i could not have bought a full kit anyway. I am roughly 4th on the Ibiza list. This is including Ben and Custardcupra who is the Ibiza before me. So if Ben is 1st week of October, Jabba are having a weeks holiday after Bens. That leaves me looking at the 1st week or at the latest the 2nd week of November. That is if everyone before me actually goes ahead with there IHI kit.If they dont then i may drop back towards the end of October.

why can't you have their spots if they don't use theirs?

bit like queing for the checkout, but when you get there you're not sure you want the stuff in your trolley.

tesco's would shove you to the back of the queue.

I'm not going to rock the boat to be honest. If the latest date is the middle of November then that will do. If i could have bought the kit Stealth offered to fit it, but not until November anyway. After talking to Stealth today they left me with a really good impression. I will prob visit them for the clutch and Lsd upgrade.

Vince is a top fella.

I think (from the grapevine) that if he were to do another one he'd be keen to have the engine out for ease of access (not major work in all honesty)

Gary as m0rk says and many others on here vince knows his stuff and clutch and lsd would be no probs, met him @ his place on a dyno day, bread and butter stuff to him, also more importantly he knows how to dyno VAG cars with correct load etc ;)

Mines end of September unless you know different.

I wasn't aware that the kit wasn't complete yet.... did SPS have a one off then?

Hope you, and I, get them on time.

I've got other stuff I'm having done that I need to schedule around the IHI, such as my rollcage. If the IHI is gonna be a while then I'll get the cage done first.

Bill, what happened to the camcorder you bought for in-car filming at trackdays? I'd love to see some in-car footage of you whipping the exotica! :D

Cheers
Ben

madmile - autotechniks (spelling) are doing a drive in drive out service for the LSD's they have built up boxes and they swap urs for a freshly recond one - well thats what they were saying to me - but i couldnt go as mine was already shagged.

Ben - i thought mine was the kit they were going to use - they had a batch of downpipes made seen a line of manifolds and turbos so not sure what the hold up is on parts - they just have to get thier rolling road done - i think thats all the hold up is.

jabba now have an X box for people to pass the time instead of talking to them in the workshop

Good question..
Made a nice adaptor to fit into front fog lamp.. then along cam FMIC and other mods req'd like big arsed Dynatwist and requirement for brake ducting... so that plan went out of the window..

Have'nt made any movies with it at all yet... which is plain poor show from me. :hide: (I'll get me coat)

Wonder if you would therapy from X-Box finger after 18 months wait playing it...
Get a numb bum i bet :D :roflmao:

I think the TIP is the last thing being waited for.. And it is worth waiting for vs the version I have.. Fabricated jobbie. SFS Silicon TIP is going to be the better job.

I have the latest DP setup on mine now.. as replacement. Much better than my original.

Being the 1st is'nt always best.. things have developed on from my time (in part down to experience gained with Jabba's and my own motor) - now need to play catch up with you boys. :)
