yeah i have an uprated G60 clutch and flywheel - saves a lot of weight with ditching the dual mass thingy - cost me about £500 with 200 fitting - get it done the same time as the LSD as it should save u loads think ben got hjis done for about £1200 all in (LSD+clutch) dont quote me though as it was a while ago.

When i said 1st week of October i was think of a completed car Ben not going in on that date. So as far as i know your still on for the 27th.

Ah ok thanks. Had me worried for a minute. :)

I am holding off with the clutch and Lsd, just incase IHI it not happen. I dont wanna spend all that cash, for a k03's equiped IBiza.

You could get Jabba to do you an uprated clutch and LSD at the same time as the IHI, and that way you will either get the whole lot or none of it.

Cheers

madmile - autotechniks (spelling) are doing a drive in drive out service for the LSD's they have built up boxes and they swap urs for a freshly recond one - well thats what they were saying to me - but i couldnt go as mine was already shagged.

Ben - i thought mine was the kit they were going to use - they had a batch of downpipes made seen a line of manifolds and turbos so not sure what the hold up is on parts - they just have to get thier rolling road done - i think thats all the hold up is.

jabba now have an X box for people to pass the time instead of talking to them in the workshop

Yeah I know Autotechniks were planning on doing that, but last time I spoke to them (Quite a while ago) they were still trying to get the first box they would need. Cool if they've sorted that.

Do you know if they are still using Quaife, or whether they have switched to Pelequin due to supply problems?

XBox, cool. Got one myself though and would prefer to talk tech with Mike/Elton.

Good question..
Made a nice adaptor to fit into front fog lamp.. then along cam FMIC and other mods req'd like big arsed Dynatwist and requirement for brake ducting... so that plan went out of the window..

Have'nt made any movies with it at all yet... which is plain poor show from me. :hide: (I'll get me coat)

Pull ya finger out.... can't wait to see some of that action. ;)

They have there first box. But for a helix clutch and Pelequin Lsd they want £1900, and an extra £300 for the lightened flywheel. So £2000-£2300 supplied and fitted.

Interesting. Sure mine wasn't that much and I have all of that (But I have the more expensive Quaife LSD).

Personally, I'm not a massive fan of my Helix clutch. Its very heavy (Relative to standard) and its quite difficult to pull away slowly and smoothly. I tend to have to rev it upto about 2000rpm as I pull away.

I'd imagine a clutch from a TDI would be better. Standard feel and can handle lots of torque!

Hi guys i was the first to have the drive in drive out service at Auto T so they now have my box to rebuild ;)
I had the Box, Fly wheel, Clutch and the Pel thing (LSD) great service took all day been waiting for months as Bill knows :hide:

Total Cost £1940.42 :-o :hide:
I was expecting £1600 till about 5pm ;) some thing to do with the price of the helix stuff!
And i know how you feel Ben, little grabby but feels MUCH better once up to speed

Did you go for organic centre plate from Helix?

I am running a 6 puk paddle now and that oddly feels smoother than the organic (which is'nt normal)

some of the low speed engagement is lightened flywheel related I think.

I was told before getting my clutch that some of the newer multi puk paddle clutches were very progressive and as good if not better than some organic clutches (In the progressiveness dept).

I decided to go for the proven clutch instead of taking a risk on the unknown.

Bill, why did you change away from your Helix one?

Clutch is a single plate thing ( No pucks ) i have notice huge understeer now in the wet its taking some getting use to thats for shore but in the dry its brilliant :)

You're having a laugh arn't you?

The Quaife gives you MUCH more grip in the wet than the standard diff!

Give it a bit of power and it just pulls you around the corner whereas you would of just understeered with the normal diff.

Dunno why you are finding MORE understeer with the Quaife.... thats not right.
