It just didn't read correctly, if you could see the two combined then it just didn't read as it should, and i tried deleting the first post to bring all posts up a level, but it ended up deleting the whole thread,

Yer, and the standard FR suspension is a bit of a let down on such a good engine really, so it had to be changed

Yes mate, it does

So does it read negative whilst boosting? Or does it read positive whilst boosting? Then goes negative creating a vacuum to pull up dump valve piston? Or have you mounted the gauge upside down?

Gauge is the right way up mate. 0psi is at the 9oclock position. You will get a negative reading when not on boost then once you are on boost it will rise past 0 into positive nombers until you let off on the accelarator (sp).

You can see it a little better on this one



ps. that was standard boost before it was remapped. It now boosts to ~21psi

Fantastic Cheers for that, Did you get an autogauge one of ebay??

If so.. Was the length of clear hosing enough for the install? Where did ou run the hosing through to get to the DV?

Its a prosport boost gauge like this one but it has alarms for peak/over boost and stors your peak boost etc.

Ran vac line through the gromet where the bonnet relese goes on the left side of engine bay. just enough length on the vac line to

UPDATE : Bonnet Bra

When i went home at lunchtime today a nice little gift had arrived from the TnT man.

New Bonnet Bra - I popped out to the garage and quickly put it on to get a photo.

Will get some pictures up later of my new strut brace and boost gauge as well
