ive been having this problem intermittently. Swapped the plufgs then got 4 new coilpacks from ecp. Swapped then all over then about 5 mins after it droped on 3. I started pulling the coils off and in the end got to no 4 it still wasnt fixed!!!!!!!!!! and still on 3!!!!!!!!!
Turned out to be a clip on the ecu which had poped of and causing the 3 cylinders.
over the past week the missfire has come back so last night a went out and swapped the random coilpack that i put back in when i checked to see if a new one had gone and now its all fixed!!!!!!!!!!!

Hehe out of the four i took out i must have put the blown one back in!!!!!!!!!!

[:@] [:@] right then... just changed the other 3 coilpacks which means i now have 4 brand spanking new coilpacks fitted and it hasn't made any difference. when i changed the 1st one in cylinder 1 it did stop about 70% of it but the last 3 having being changed it still F***ing misfires on 10psi+. i 'Supposedly' had my spark plugs changed about a 1000 miles ago with the service so i don't no wot it is. Unless i just fit some new spark plugs myself as who knows whether the garage actually changed them. But wot will be my next step after that?? (apart from a drum of petrol and a zippo lighter ;) )

i did wonder if it would make any difference as you had nothing appear on vagcom for the other cylinders
are you positive your problem is still a misfire? or is it that you aint got as much boost as you had before?

if its definitly a misfire then u really wanna know what plugs are in there
either theyve been in there along time or perhaps theyve got bad while youve had problems, numerous causes for faulty plugs
easy to swap (just a pain in the arse removing all the crap on top), set of plugs should only be about 15-20quid
if plugs are ok fueling would be next step for me
possible injector blockage maybe? need others to confirm but thats where i think id be looking next

yeah it is misfires. I thought it might of been coilpacks because the log read two fault codes, one for cylinder 1 and the other said multiple misfires in the cylinders. How would i see if an injector is blocked or how would i diagnose it as that?

yeah vagcom says both but infact usually theres just one problem

im not 100% sure tbh i think there might be something to log on vagcom but im not certain

the only other thing i can think of is removing the injectors 1 by 1 and checking them over for any obvious signs of wear or blockage. quite excessive though. and might not even be necessary. see what others say

Change the god damn spark plugs then let me know how it goes, i'll gladly eat humble pie if it doesnt improve it!! The cost of the 3 coil packs you could have changed the plugs, the standard BKUR6ET plugs are £17.62 from SEAT for 4.
