The holes in the S3/tt brace are 10mm,

I used 10mm x 25mm cap heads (allen key head) and nylocs with some penny washers.

opps .. you need 6 - 10mm x 25mm (3 per side)

I got mine from a local nut and bolts store, but you could get them from a net based place sorry cannot remember the name of them at the mo' but if you do a google search for stainless fixings it should come up, or try ebay theres loads on there cheap enough..

ahhh excellent...

which size then?

M10? M12?

sorry im really dense at this kind of stuff...

i need 6 x M??

and then 6 of these : Metric Nyloc Hex Nuts as well at the same size as the nuts?

and then which washers?

Sorryh for being dumb?

It's not april the 1st is it by any chance..... ;)

just kidding......

you need as follows:

Six (if it's the S3 brace) 10mm by 25mm bolts (cap head- allen key type) or you could just use normal bolts but it's easier with allen key type i found, when you want to tighten them up under the car.

Six 10mm nyloc nuts

Six 10mm washers for on top of the strut brace under the nuts, i didn't bother putting any washers under the strut towers.

You might need 8 bolts, nuts & washers depending on what brace your fitting and how many holes it has... so the above is only a guide, tbh...

Also get your self a couple (2) of decent "Bullet" HSS drill's from homebase a 5mm one for starting the hole and a 10mm one for the final hole, also put some paint around where you've drilled other wise your car will rust, and you don't want that now after all this hard work....:D

Heres the link to the thread i posted on it --->http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=133999

No worries bud,

I don't blame you, it was a bit nerve wrecking... but worth it all the same..

Yes matey,

As for the paint i used a Seat touch up stick i already had, but your not going to see it once the brace is on, so you could use any paint really, hammerite's a good as anything, if you have some already if not any touch up stick from halfrauds thats a near to as colour will do it.

Got this for £16.00 very nice and a lot better than the £60 odd i paid...

nuts and bolts look ok, but the washers do look a bit oversized..

these are probably the ones

You'll be right mate, the bolts i used were 10mm x 25mm cap heads and nyloc nuts.

If the washer's won't fit inside the brace, just get some (6) ordinary ones, like the above pic from halfords or somewhere.

And tbh, if oyur getting it fitted if you give the garage the bits and the washer's don't fit there'll supply some anyway, and you can always use them on summat else, so you've not lost out...
