rear shocks normally cause an unusual vibration that can't be attributed to anything else.
just a guess, but if you are running pirelli's then run you hand across the tyre tread, if it feels rough then chances are its 'block lift'. pirelli are renowned for it, especially on the asimetrico(sp) tread pattens. this manifests itself when the tyre is cold & on lock. although its always a lot more noticeable when the tyres are worn.
people think I'm abnormal (a given) but i put pirelli Pzero's on my car & took them off the next day as i thought the were that bad.
as a beside, please give all dealers a chance, intermittent & unusual faults are nigh on impossible to find without the process of elimination, & it either costs the dealer or the customer, not hard to work out why its you that ends up with the big bill.

sounds to me like it is the camber adjustable front hubs that have been refitted wrong . also possible that they screwed the tracking up.The LCR also seems to run alot of castor is this adjustable by mistake if they dont mark stuff before they remove it?

Slightly concerned here.Really wanting to get an `R`as my next car but reading through this thread there seems a few issues with suspension/bearings and the Cupra isn`t exactly an old car.Are these isolated incidents or do loads suffer with these problems.

took my lcr there for the brake switch to be done cost 7.95 for the switch and 50 for fitting, when the other half got home she noticed a screw in the footwell and the bottom part of dash was flapping around , when i looked they had fitted it wrong and distorted the plastic getting it to fit, i wouldnt mind so much if i paid peanuts - i would expect monkeys.....

changing the tyres is not an expensive route to go down if they are worn on the inside edge.
Besides I could get 50 quid for them IF someone wanted them perphaps for a track day, no but seriously I have a family riding in the car and to me the tyres are an important element in the road holding of the vehicle, I never mind spending on tyres, besides the fronts are conti sports and I do,nt rate them

Morning mate

No details on the tracking adjustments as the dealer just does it but remind your dealer that cupra R's have 2 adjustments not one just to make sure they know.....

I am the same about tyres mate after all they are the only thing between you and the road.... contact is all important. Found a knock on mine when you pull the stearing from side to side now???

Probably just missed the bottom white clip that it slots into, it's really tricky to get in right, doubt its permenently distorted, but as you say you paid for a professional job....

Uneven wear - Pah! you kids don't know your born ;) this is uneven wear on the inside of an LCR tyre, outside edge of the tyre was fine

Caused by a leaky damper, this was on the rear though and I got vibration at speed like a wheel being out of balance and a droning sound with it.

was this above 60 as had **** loads done to mine on the front end but havent bothered with the rear as it feels like its through my stearing wheel
