Good project you've got going on there Willie. I bet you're learning a lot about your car doing this!
I can imagine in a couple of years time you'll have a 300bhp track beast! Reckon you can get the weight in under a tonne?
+1With regards to saving weight, I will say that the LCR wheels are very heavy and well worth swapping out for a set of lightweight alloys.
Hi Willie,
I've just spent a couple of hours reading this whole thread, what an interesting and informative read - well done. It makes me sad that I missed having a good look over your car at the weekend.
I wonder what you were up to here

Not in a Leon - no chance. Even Andrew Gallachers mostly carbon Focus Cosworth is around 1150kgs.

you have seen pics of my car...you know dam right it works![]()
I can confirm that this car is running well after a series of wee tests tonight
Roll on the exhaust, fpr and remap![]()
That's the plan, 300BHP should be possible with a hybrid KO4. The Backdraft motorsport on will map with REVO Select. Under tonne is impossible. I would like to be running the same/similar weight to the Megane R26R which is 1,230 KgsGood project you've got going on there Willie. I bet you're learning a lot about your car doing this!

No, not without composite panels etc etc, not worth the costs involvedUnder a tonne in a Leon... is that even possible?

Too much cost+1
Could fit a carbon bonnet (sprayed, not bare!) too - any idea how much they go for?
Was grilling the guys about there car and they were pretty clueless TBH. Took picures of the cage for future info thoughHi Willie,

Was good fun, very competitive lower down but loosing out further up the speedo but not as night and day as it was before. Just need to track down a Stage 2 LCR and see how she fairs against itI can confirm that this car is running well after a series of wee tests tonight

TBH, she's been bringing the smile back recently. As my post in REVO section, i will be shatting myself if I get 50BHP and 50ft-lbsGoing straight to a stage 2 remap in a stripped out LCR..... what a treat, Willie will siht himself in delight.
Can you spray your car Blonde Willie, black on blonde always does it for me.![]()
Yup raction and brakes, handling then more power.about time you mapped it!! although to be fair you've done it the right way round though brakes/suspension first.
Allen in wellies is that ever a good sight??
