I fitted mine with 8no. 25mm self-drilling, self-tapping screws.

The hardest part is getting it central and lined up correctly. I used lots of masking tape to hold it in position while I put the screws in.

30mins to fit the splitter and 45mins to put the jacking point covers back on the Leon.

coarser thread rather than thinner thread screws, have another person handy to force it into shape, you can do it by yourself but a lot more difficult
measure the length of the bottom centre part of the bumper and splitter and mark halfway points for easy centering.

using a grinder to cut the middle stalks off is quicker and neater than trying the hack it off with a saw or knfe

Thanks for your help, tips and pointers! It took longer than planned. but its finally done!!
And does look pretty sweet!
Sorry its not a great pic. Only quickly done with phone cam. And my car is filthy!! stupid weather.
But can kinda see it.
Cheap, quick(ish) and looks brilliant! well worth it. :)

Took me about 2 hours or so by the time I fannied about thinking about how I was going to fit it. Defo a 2 person job If you can. The bending part is the hardest. I lined it up with a plumb line from the centre of the seat badge and drew a line with highlighter on the bumper. Measured halfway between the 2 centre clips on the splitter then taped it to the bumper. Drilled and screwed the 2 edges nearest the centre before removing the tape and fitting and bending either side. Found it was nearer the corners of the bumper that the screws were exposed but a bit of good balck silicon hides allsorts  . The cut and file the edges when its all fitted. Probs used more screws than I needed to but at least it should stay on.......................hopefully. First real mod ive ever done myself and im quite pleased.

looks good i can nopw see where people were mentioning the edges where you can see the screws just slight gap with the bumper as the splitter changes shape a bit but wouldnt notice it if i didnt read about it looks great on the cupra and the new bumpers!

Took me about an hour to do it today (on my own). I whipped off the bumper and did it all in my front room in the warmth :funk:

Looks lovely on a black cupra.

wow not seen a luna grey so shiney since.. well I picked it up 3.5K miles ago :p haha!!! Anyway looks brilliant!
I was thinking about taking the bumper off. And thought nah, will brave it in the cold  I could see where 2 people could come in handy! although I managed it on my own. I havent filled the edges off yet. And I kinda cocked up a bit with the 2 bits on top but hardly noticable
Great pics!

Thanks very much. It was polished about 3 months ago with diamond brite jewel ultra 2 stage polish. Expensive stuff but the shine las for years, looks amazing even when washed and alot better still with the proper wax conserve from diamond brite.

looking good i want to do this mod but i think it looks poor on the standard m4 bumper to rounded at the bottom to pull it off in my view

heres my lcr splitter i couldnt bare not having it on now it makes it look more agressive and lower and its so cheap a must mod!

me liking the look of these.
defo up for one in the spring.
be just my luck to fit one before the winters out and slide into something and rip it off

Also very busy at work til Jan, then moving house, and too bl00dy cold :(

Anyone had problems with fitting one of these? I'm liking the pics, it looks so effective for such a small mod!

Also where can I get hold of one for a seat 2.0 sport? (I have searched but had no luck)

Thanks.

get them directly from seat parts ask for a leon cupra r lower bumper spoiler (front) costs £17.50p that what i got it for! really easy to fit a load of screws and alot of bending worth the hassle!

Take it they are available for the ibiza aswell mate?

no this part you see is for the leon curpa r front bumper mk1! it is slightly wider but as you can see it does fit with some bending and trim both ends off! :)

hi. i know i asked this questino but wasnt sure form the reply, would the splitter fit the toledo (new)?

it should do. if you have a look in the pics/videos section, there is a toldeo with the full leon cupra r bumpers on it so im guessing the splitter shud fit on the toledo no problem at all. like the ibiza though, it may require some bending and cutting

without trying to sound dumb, i take it you just ring up seat and ask for the splitter! :ban: how long do they take to arrive?
