ill post some tonight just at work at the mo!
Its fairly comfy to be honest and the black cloth material on it matches the black recaro seats in my LCR, comes recommended by me anyway!

i have one of these
started fitting it 6 months ago, bolted the bracket in, did most of the cutting of the coin tray

and done nothing with it since, really need to not be so lazy and finish it!!!!!!!

Im one of them people that cant leave it half done, as soon as it arrived it had to be in! car looks so much better with it on tho looks like it is missing something without and arm rest.
And it DOESNT get in the way of the handbreak or gear stick if you ask me anyway from the other people that complain about that :p

i just get to look at the lovely bracket (which i had to modify) sticking through my centre console
the height of sexyness-at least its bling haha

I fiited a similar one off ebay which also only had 2 bolts that could fix it (3rd one won't go in at the right angle). But the armrest itself is extremly comfy and i wouldn't have a car without one now. But if you're thinking of getting one for your leon get the proper one from the dealership.

i have to admit its a bit rough on bare skin, (so wear a jumper!) but i was quoted 156+ vat at the dealers which is a bit steep to say the least when this one was 59.99 delivered!

even the dealers struggle
spoke to ted johnson ages ago about the OE unit and they said most of the time they have to weld them in cos the brackets can snap and they're a BUGGER to do

ive got one, but its an ebay copy (quality is pretty good though), but aint fitted it yet as im a bit worried about how much im cutting out for it to fit. anyone got a pic of the hole or it fitted cos my armrest is too fat to fit if i just cut the little tray away

thats the problem ive had, and given up for the mo
got the bracket fitted easy enough but it needed modifying
cut the coin tray, but base of armrest is still too wide

need to cut more which means taking the console off again

i ended up taking the whole console out, i kept cutting away with a craft knife (the nice slice on my thumb proves this) and i managed to wedge it in nice and tight, i want to get some kind of rubber surround for it now tho so the edges cut dont look too messy, either that or some kind of black plastic sealant. I will take some pictures tonight and post them on her for it anyway. The hole had to be slightly larger then the coin tray tho i would say so it needs to be totally removed sides and all

My Leon FR had a central armrest fitted as standard, same system as the armrests one gets from the dealer (and a pain in the a** to fit or dismount)

Just tried yesterday to fill some small gaps between the plastics with polyurethane foam to get rid of rattles (the fault of shitty Romanian roads) and the armrest apparently has stuck in the upright position. I mean, push the unlock button, it made a small "crack" and didn't unlock. How should I dismantle it to fix the lock? They're plastic lids everywhere, no trace of screws.

~Thank you,

Did you have to buy any adapters to make it fit,or just that unit and nothing else?

unit comes with everything u need, but just not sure whether im gonna fit it or not. really want the little store area that it creates but dont want the finished item to look **** and rattle

My one came with the centre armrest :D and its great you can do lazy gear changes keeping your elbow rested and just move your hand :d
