well just wondered garry i do quite a few miles on my car so would soon gain mileage so if i gave a glowing reference what you reckon you could do a system for?
Does that mean our 100 cell race cats aren't going to last very long? (I don't really know much about exhausts).
they'll be fine just in garrys opinion there not needed would be better off with a 200 cat so dont worry
Piper Gary, what is the difference in physical flow rates between a 100 cell cat and a 200 cell cat. The 200 cell cat is noticeably more quiet, does it have a noticeable effect on performance systems. When you hold a 100 cell cat up to the light there is very little visible obstruction is a 200 cell similar. What Cats make up a Piper system (manufacture).

Wild Willy - The flow rates are not much differrence between the two, the obvious answer is that a 200 cell cat has twice as many cells. But as far as phisical surface area (head on) difference, there is very little.
I do have some flow figures around here somewhere for the tests we did. Will see if i can dig them out and post them up for you. Flow figures for us to compare would be grate, as there is a common conception that a 100cell cat will majorly out perform a 200 cell one.
