hi guys.

i have just got a leon facelift cupra bumper off good old ebay for next to nothing.
but has abit of damage.
i think i can get the "dent" out with a bit of heat and alot more persuasion, does anybody know how to fix the little split.. about 2" long...whats best thing to do?
is there some sort of plastic "weld".
i will have to respray whole bumper as wrong colour but it was less than £60.
thanks :)

Use P40 fiberflass on the back of the split. But rought up the surce with a sharp knife befor hand. This stuff is strong and will hold it together nicly. Then when you get it spraid just ask the body shop to put a bit of filler on the front.

Sorted

picked up bumper today.
p40 rear of bumper for the little split...
used heat on the bumper and "pop" there she goes. took about 20 mins approx.
used p38 on the front to cover split and bump on bumper..
ready to sand...
need to prep bumper for new colour.
will take some pics when complete and using a small miracle try to post em.

got to re sand repair...and prime again..after putting primer on it showed up the imperfections...which is handy...
have given the bumper abit more heat which holds the spot light.. got a much better view of it hanging up with my bungee straps..and reshaped.
filled all the lower bumper scratches and primed again..
just waiting for paint to come in and lacquer..then i'll have a few more pics when its done... :)
not bad so far for my 1st time at this....and cue the virgin comments.....
thought i would do the rear bumper to
