leon mk1 grille swap?

hello, im new to this so be gentle with me!! can i swap the 3 grille pieces on my leon on which the slats run horizontally for the honeycomb items seen on other leons?? and is it expensive to do? many thanks.....

not expensive. If they will fit then the cost is around 15-20 quid for the centre grill with the "S" logo, and the side grilles would be cheaper than that.

If you have a LCR or an FR+ then this mod doesn't work, as the centre S is a different shape. All other models are fine though

I was going to fit a badgeless grille to my 20VT prefacelift, untill i realised it was a one piece unit and needed to be cut about, and couldn't be bothered with all that... but thats just me..

The badgeless part isn't, it's just the two side grilles that are one piece (and require bumper removal)

Yes. Infact, if you're handy with a dremel (and can be arsed) you can almost make a honeycomb S badge to fit the LCR out of a spare side grille. Have a look around for honeycomb LCR grille...it's been done

i was told the slats are for cooling as the honeycomb dont allow enough air for the R model
