gonna keep this one till 2014, by then the decent ones should be out with a fair bit of kit, but only if there is a fast tdi model, or depends how efficient the petrol fr model will be. Staying loyal though.

Yeah, I'm glad I came away from a French car and went for a Spanish/German one! I'm well impressed with my diesel Mk2!

I've been looking at mock-ups of 3 door versions and they look really good, very scirocco-esque. But! The thing I like about the mk2 is that it looks 3 door but has 5. Im starting to look at the mk3 and think it looks a bit boring

Nothing official from SEAT, but they may choose to wait until the Paris motorshow for 3 door preview, or it may not arrive until they reveal a Cupra version which maybe later next year for a 2014 launch.

Who know's, but its certainly expected to be a multi role model, its been touted officially and unofficially for quite some time.

World Car Fans have posted up a render of a possible 3 door version today.

Certainly a lot more impressive than the 5 door, but i still dont think it tops the Mk2. Bummer!

hmmm give a R diffuser and a decent spoiler and I think it will look rather good. Admittedly if you had your memory wiped and were shown this and a current LCR I wouldn't know which one I would like better

Not a bad rendering but i would be thinking more along the lines of this.........

As said the 3 door will have a lower roofline and wider arches. THINK IBE..........

All the 5 door Leon needs is a rear spoiler and a set of sideskirts, just like all SEATs do.
Then it'll be grand! :)
And they can throw on a love/hate aero kit while their at it, and call it new every year for the next 7 years.
Job done, everyone happy! :)

Whatever it looks like, they need to get the handling and ride right with this one. I am getting sick of the media criticising that aspect of just about every SEAT model which they test. They are even doing it with the Mii now and marking it down accordingly compared to the Up and Citygo.

I love the mk2 and have been waiting like everyone to see how SEAT's new design direction influenced the model. What a disappointment.......! Dull. Dull. Dull. I shall stick with my distinctive 2007 Leon MK2 yellow FR until something more refreshing comes along, perhaps the Leon Mk4. Lol.

The SC and IBE look awesome. But then you really do have a three door car - Im old now, I need backseats with actual doors

Convinced myself that an ST for kiddie duties means SC for me - if it's as long as the five door then that works well for interior space etc.

Wondering if the Estate / ST will replace the Altea range (which is getting pretty long in the tooth now)
