Loss of boost on Leon FR Diesel

I was driving home last night, through the usually crawl of traffic and when I finally got on to a bit of open road (after about 10 mins) and put my foot down, the car was extremely sluggish. I was on the way to pickup my girlfriend and didn't want to keep her waiting so drove on. Once I had collected her from work I pulled over and looked under the bonnet - couldn't see anything amiss. Switched off the engined, after 30 seconds or so I restarted it and drove off and everything was back to normal and has been fine since.
It had just felt like the turbo was not working at all and there was a complete lack of boost pressure. The car is about 8 months old and has done just over 20k (due its 2nd service).
Anyone else had similar experience or know what this was down to?

Usually the turbo kicks in between 2500rpm & 3500rpm but nothing - in any gear.

Did you say usually kicks in at 2,500, My New FR+ starts to kick in at less than 1,800 and full boost starts at around 2,000 and smooth up to 4500 depending on how light you are on the pedal. have you had any other electrical faults?
