Yeah, probably is the way, but ecu changing needs immo codes doesnt it. Presumably you can log airflow on vag-com on these older cars?

turned out it was the lambda sensor!i wonder what sort of power theyd be running at with a induction kit and decat maybe
Induction kits do sweet FA and you loose the low down grunt if you decat an 8v.
not how mine was. plenty of torque at low revs, made it rev alot faster too. cudnt get past motorway speed limit tho (i wasnt trying or ever have passed it)
but running a decat is a bit naughty anyway![]()
