I can get 50mpg from the Mrs' Golf GT 1.4TSI (140) on a run

Yes D, it surprises me every time i check the mpg. Might go down a little when stage 2 goes on

whats up with the ride is it rough like the standard mk4 cupra suspension?

Jiggley like the MkIV yes. Normal SEAT over sprung, under damped. It's fine when you're having fun, but just bimbling about it's not what you'd want for a long period

I think so... strange that it's a short to earth rather than an actual misfire.

Yeah short to plus would kind've point to it being an electrical failure not a problem in the coding.

Unless the coding/vag-com description is wrong so that it shows up misfire as a short to plus.

VW are currently doing a "product enhancement" (recall) on coil packs due to so many failures. You might just be in the dodgy batch!

Nice one Mark. Must admit I was thinking of the possibility of having a new Ibiza myself, but not sure if I'd miss the extra room and doors. We'll see...

Dropped the Ibiza at Kings SEAT at 8am, and it was picked up 5hrs later with new spark plugs, a compression test, fuel pressure tested & a new ECU map.

I'd swear it felt a little faster on the run back to work

Over the weekend I noticed a little squeak under part load at about 3000rpm or so it's going back for round two on the 23rd to stay over

I've fitted & driven one to a Mk4, and also various Leon's - so I'm interested in it too. Hopefully it'll take some of the numbness away

I found the Whiteline rear ARB made a noticeable difference on my old mk4...

Rarb is a superb mod on the mk4. Turn in is so much better. Think mine is only on medium, very noticeable. What's feedback from the mk5 guys who have had them fitted?

Weitec coilovers should sort the ride. Nobody who "works" at Seat has ever driven on a British Road. And since most probably ride donkeys to work i doubt they have ever driven a car either.
