MAF Part Numbers/Prices?

Looking for a MAF at the mo, currently have part no:

06A906461D

I've come across a few with slightly different part numbers (ie same number but different letter at the end)

Whats the score then, which numbers are compatable and which are not? ;)

if there is an x on the end its means its exchange ie CX DX sometimes the last letter superseeds to the next ie 06A906461C might superseed to 06A906461D its just been replaced but sometimes can be a diiff airflow meter.

For most parts a part number ending D is likely to be a supersession of the same part number ending in C for example. But not air mass meters (MAF's)
06A906461
06A906461A
06A906461B
06A906461C
06A906461D
are all separate parts for different engines.
For your part use 06A906461DX the exchange part, this IS the supersession of 06A906461D. Nearly all MAF's now superceed to an exchange part

So if i come accross a 06A906461D or a 06A906461DX, thats what i'm after?

well i cant comment on the 'X' but you definatly have to stick with the same letter.

i had the wrong one on my car for a while. (dealers... dont you love them) and the only difference was the last digit. think it was d not c or something
the car ran, but not well...

then i got the right one and actually looking at the sensor it looked a fair bit different.

then the car was fantastic.

Thanks for the offer but i'm going to have to hold it off as long as poss as funds are very short at the mo. What with house buying and unexpected coilover buying! :D

Cheers anyway.
