Ok, Sunday has been a good day. Managed to clean the beastie inside and out. Made an attempt to remove some of the decals. Took the front wing ones off, but left a nice stcky mark and I didn't have anything that would clean it up so left the rest on there.

Dettol Multi Purpose to clean the interior and seats. Needed some anti-bacterial just to make sure...OCD hahah

Ready to be Redex'd when I fill her up this afternoon then drive down to parents on a long run before heading to the Kent/South East meet.

There's loads of little paint work issues which I never even noticed when I bought the car. No real biggies but could need some work done in the future.

I always feel knackered after it, but then see her parked there gleaming and just feel so happy I done it !! Beats paying 5 Eastern Europeans to do a crap job in 10 minutes while I buy my lunch.

Thanks everyone. Redex is working a treat. She felt much better ride after the Kent/Sussex meet all the way back to Purley.

That is really nice man, was supposed to go to the kent/south east meet but had to give it a miss in the end. Saw the pics though.

am i included in the 13? i say because you live near me the wiper stays and no to the single wiper conversion...but then that's maybe cos i think they look good left oem pretty much n dropped on their arse! then again, if you butcehr your car mine will look really good in comparison, go ahead

yea i have it on mine and to be honest i think its great but i suppose not everyones cup of tea

Only because half of London think she's a buffer for them! could be a lot worse and was ok til someone decided to dent my o/s wing in and reverse into the front cracking all the lacquer,same on the back quarter so damn annoying!

luckily there aren't any mk2 gti's in this neck of the woods,until now...that said we were on a tunnel run the other night and right at the end a kiwi valver drove by on black rims,looked very clean but never sen it ever so def not from my part of London
