mike this is the bracket i was talking about to hold the pipe up

one of the best mods i have done is the laguna fmic

glad to see that people are still doing it :D

i will try and get some better pics of the bracket tomorrow for you if you want mike all you do is bolt it to your rad with the bolt thats already on it easy

The more i see this the more i'm glad i got the forge one. Angle grinding bits for it to fit something thats on the piss and taking 7 hours to fit it doesnt seem good to me.

But if it gets the results (logs would be nice) then who am i to criticise.

As long as your happy with it thats the main thing.

I found some interesting logs on the forge FMIC yesterday, we get lower temps than the Forge one, we saw 49oC with the forge one, no higher than 40 with the laguna one. Same time of day/temp outside two k03s cars with 21psi!

It might not look 700 worth, thats because it costs less than half that price, i for one put my spare money towards a new remap and a holiday :) Down to personal choice!

If i didnt have a life iwould sit here all day creating graphs for the logs, and wading my way through 100's of logs on my laptop to find which ones were FMIC etc, when i get time i will post before and after logs on mikeys as an independant test.

I am not very impressed with the pipework on the forge, looks a bit restrictive the way it goes from a large silicone pipe to a 2" pipe all the way round, i know a few mappers who struggle to get good results with the Forge kits on Leons and Ibiza's.

The more I see it the more I think it's a very very good mod for the money. Sure it doens't fit as well as the Forge one but then it isn't £700!! I'd definetely go for one. Be interesting to know if there are any other intercoolers out there from other cars which would be a viable option.

Guys please lets not make this a forge vs Laguna thread, its just about my installation thats all... was my choice, and I want to do some logs for my own sake, if others are interested in these results I will post them or email them...

Thanks for the comments peeps, I'm well chuffed, I'll look at that bracket cu51PRA next time we meet, which I think is the 7th Sept?

sssstew I cant do anything about the zooming!! lol

Mike

I dont mind it zooming on me! :) Lol!

Yeah ive heard all of the above before, i put my left over money towards my holiday to morroco/africa islands :D

Its probably because Renauklt Laguna FMIC Inc. (TM) dont sponsor SCN is why its not liked.

GRS have had alot of problems, (people compare them both together in a bad way) saying that its like the GRS one.

The laguna one was proved before i did it, so i didnt try any others personally, cos it was deffo going to work :)

Mikey do u still have AC in your car? The reason I ask is bcoz my condensor for my AC is in front of my radiator and I didnt see you having one there?

Cheers

Theres LOADS of you that have the Laguna one on now, so it must work! ;)

I cant believe the size difference between the Laguna one and the baby SMIC we have as standard

yup the FMIC sits infront of the AC rad. you cant see the normal rad from the front.

Lookng good... glad you got it on and your happy... I'm still to test drive, but think i'll wait for my fingers to heal, as I won't be able to control the torque steer...

I'm not happy with the slide show, you left the one out with the pipe on Flash's head... that was the best pick lol :hide:

I Can't wait to get behind the wheel tho... :D
