It is something I am considering, especially for the winter months, so i can turn the power down...dont really want near 300bhp with Ice on the road:headhurt:

if this is a daily driver mate i would. its not just ice but the levels of concentration needed in wet weather on motorways full of spray .. its knackering. turning things down makes it a bit more relaxing... when required.

I'm running a Greddy Profec B Spec 2 by the way and its very good, hi -low settings at a flick of a switch etc... Worth a look at.

Where did you get this from? Fleabay?:)

I use the Apexi AVC-R - very good bit of kit, gives me 3 settings at the press of a button - off, med and high boost, which you set up yourself. I never use med really, as off is wastegate spring pressure only which is 1 BAR (15psi) and high boost is 1.4 BAR (20psi).

well bad news at the moment

the build has come to a grinding halt due to issues with the clutch - see here:

nothing interesting.....

Clutch is now all ok, as it is not faulty but it is meant to make that noise

just waiting from dates on AMD as the guy who is mapping the car is still in the US...which Simon is not best pleased with at the mo, ooppss!

jamie if your in a rush why not get it mapped elsewhere i know there's a place in witham that can do it?

thanks Rob

well I am only in a rush because the parts are sitting around and looking at me, waiting to be fitted:D

its ok, I can wait a month, besides, got to bed the clutch in, but as i do 300 miles a week, that will be done pretty soon

out of interest, what is the place in Witham anyway, pm me if you like?:)

its a place called engine advantages as a good reputation and can now do remaps for our cars he knows his stuff he's like an ex rally cross car tuner etc they have a website have a butchers

Rob, Is your wastegate spring set at 1 bar....... Thats quite high. I've set my hybrid to operate at this psi which is now delivering more than 1.4 bar @ red line but i thought i was pushing it a bit. Was this the standard pressure set by ATP.

Get a good black aerosol cap. Drill a hole in the centre. You'll find you have a perfect cover for the electric contacts end of the pump. The aerosol cap fits snugly over the foam pump cover sleeve.

thanks Dave

do you have a picture to give me a better idea of what you mean...I kinda get what you are saying, but pics always help:D

more than wastegate actuator spring pressure if thats whats controlling it is likely boost creep which is wastegate cannot flow enough.

No, sorry - no pic of what I did.
Imagine an aersol cap with a hole in the centre slightly bigger than the red bung on the pump. Now imagine the pump outlet that has the bung shoved through that hole..........

ok...could you get one then please:D

I think I know what you mean, just to tidy it up a bit as well I guess

the build is now going to be potentially delayed. Was in a car accident this morning. A lorry clipped the rear of my car and spun me across the M25 in rush hour this morning. By some mirracle I did not hit anything and nothing hit me.

damage is ok, apart from a dented rear alloy, so now got to wait for the Insurers to sort it out, get the car repaired then it can go off to the chosen vendor for the work to be done!

happy days.....

Fackin hell dude
Thats pretty lucky!!

Do your alright.

It'll give you more time to decide who your going to get to map the car.
AND any other bits you might have found you now NEED
