when is painfully slow this project so annoying as im sitting here button bashing when i could be clanging spanners but i cant do anything at the mo as i need more space or i need bits other people are doing finishing i can do little repairs and little welds but not the rear panel and sill cut out and weld so untill he is back im STUCK

sorry no update for ages as there isnt anything to update car has been untouched for nealy two weeks now

but ive got all the v5 documents through the post for it which is relaxing to now
im picking up an air compressor tomorrow from my mate again ive sorted out a whole day of work on it THIS SATURDAY! so should have rear pannel patched up n/s sill welded up n/s 1/4 pannel arch repaired and all the arches pulled out and rolled to fit them HUGE deep dish wheels in

did i mention i bought the wheels a week ago wont get them in the country till new year!!!!! as they have to be shipped over in bulk from germany!!!!! they WITH tyres have cost me £1000!!!!!!!

also i have bought a new head unit for it gotit for £46 (ebay)

got a photoshoot planned with a mate of a mate with areally good camera ect goingto be doing a joint shoot with ad lav will be working hard tomorrow on the golf havent touched it for weeks

well after an exstreamly busy day yesterday me and my mate got alot done!

started at 7am (neibours were NOT! happy) but the rear pannel has been patched up and welded shut ect. the car was stripped fully of all clips rubbers ect ready for masking and primer.

all repairs were checked and redone ect to get them right still got a couplemore to sort the break in damage on the door is done the wing side repeaters have been welded shut and smoothed

stone chips ect have been rubbed down or filled and de rusted

things left to do before the primer in 2 weekends time ARE

Pull the arches for the huge deepdish
go around all the repairs make sure happy with them and a bit more rubbing down on the repairs (prep work)

then wil be primered anyways pics!

man thats a lot of effort.

going to show at the end though and its going to look top notch. cant wait to see the arches rolled and it all primed up.....will give us a picture of how good its going to look like

Wow the car is reall y coming along!! I love the mk2 golf, i've had two before i got the cupra. In fact love them so much i've still not worked up the courage to sell the last one!

alexJ124 yer will be good to see it all primed up and widened arches the car will snowball to a finish after the respray can start to get bits back on the car

becks 2 very smart clean dubs there wow a girl that apreciates decent motors!!!!! my mrs thinksthe mk2 is a sh17 box

anyway couldnt bare lowsing around on the sofa so ive been back out there working on it. removed the sideskirt blackouts and lots more rubbing down. here are a few more pics! never have too many pics!!!!!

one thing i noticed. are you going to smooth the seams on the rear panel. as your getting the hole car painted now would be a good time to do it. think it would make the rear end look better. just an idea.. looking good so far
