How long until you get to know things like build dates etc?
This is my first ever lease car and I ordered a cupra lux through leasing options on the 25th March. I got confirmation of accepted finance and emails stating that on the 26th, plus all the other usual stuff.
I havent heard anything since but I was told on the day I ordered that lead time is about 12 weeks and to expect the car last week of June.
Reading some things on here, that is looking less likely.

Get the SLI/order number from the leasing company, you can then ring seat customer services and they will let you know the build date / status if there is one at that point... hopefully you'll have a better idea then!
I visited my dealer this afternoon and what you have been quoted on PCP is about right. Because this is a limited edition model I have been told it will not be available on personal lease or personal contract hire. Exclusivety comes at a price but hey you only live once!!

I did however get taken out for a drive, initial impressions were really good, however has anyone else noticed a burning smell from the outside of the vehicle? Happened on both occasions once we pulled up, and before anyone assumes, nope it wasn't driven hard
Appreciate any answers or comments!
Oh ok, that's great. Stupid question alert. Is the order number the one I've had on an email from the leasing company. Its 8 digits, well 7 a dash and them an extra digit.
Or does that number relate to the leasing company and you get another order number relating to seat if that makes sense?
I didn't notice any unusual smell on collection or the intervening days since. Sounds like something exhaust or cat related, maybe a bit of glue or oil? Mine isn’t a lease but it came with a space save wheel in the boot.
And mine is a lease and also came with a space saver, so definitely a standard offering on this model
Didn't want the sunroof as it's just a small single one, if it was a double one I would of been interested. Spec wise it has everything including heated seats. I'm waiting for an email to confirm what extras it comes with.

Would hazard a guess it’s one of the many new PPF running for the first time
I got a provisional build week of W21. Tied to the delivery of around W28 this makes sense to what I understand the build to delivery process is. I really want mine ASAP. All this stuff with Brexit I don't want to be paying extra because of increase import tariffs. I am getting mine from LO and they have already put a warning on the bottom of their email that there "could" be an extra tariffs.

If a withdrawal agreement is not in place by this date, World Trade Organisation tariffs of up to 10.6% may apply to all vehicle imports. Should matters follow this course, any payments quoted by Leasing Options will increase accordingly. **

My provisional build week was/is W18 (week starting 29th April) but there was a note on my order stating “lead time from order to delivery is currently estimated at 23-24 weeks”.
As I ordered on 22nd Feb that means last week of July onwards.
I understand the fears of a no deal Brexit, my terms and conditions clearly state that any changes in taxes/import tariffs are my responsibility.
If the worst happens and price does go up 10% there is no way I’m paying an extra £3.5k for the car, especially with a new model coming out imminently and a new reg out in Sept. I’ll walk away and lose the deposit if necessary.
Re the sunroof are you sure it’s single ?
Some of the press releases recently on the Cupra R ST imply it’s the Pano Sunroof that you’d expect in an ST.
I could be wrong though.
The was a thread on here recently where some were questioning if the Pano Sunroof had changed as now it’s just listed as ‘Electric Sunroof’ on order forms but I think the consensus was that it’s still a Pano Sunroof.
Can you ping me a pm or update this thread when u get the full spec list.
I’m really tempted to order the R instead now, but want to make sure it’s got all the driver assists (High beam assist, camera recognition, lane assist, ACC) and preferably the winter pack stufff (heated screen and headlight washers, seats etc etc)

My dealer forwarded me their internal bulletin on the ST R. The sunroof is definitely panoramic but apparently the winter pack is not available on this car. I am not sure about the heated seats as I was told they are not available but if you look at the Autofunghl review I am pretty sure it has the heated seat buttons. All the driver assist stuff is there.
