The problem is I want the car in black which means you can't have the black pack! I may change to Monsoon Grey so that I can get the Black pack. Alternatively I may order with Multi-Spokes and then sell and then buy the standard ones direct from the manufacturer, Borbet.

Good choice. I think monsoon is better than black.... Black hides the lines and angles of the car too much.

Is there a big price difference between 280 and 290 version in UK? They`ve uploaded the new configurator in here (CZ) yesterday and its quite big, actually more then 1.100 GBP. I should get mine beginning of November so most probably 280 version.

"Regards the 290ps, there is no date of when this car is going into production. I have just called SEAT and this is the information they have given me. However, if the cars build week falls into the date change then the car will be automatically upgraded to the 290ps without any additional cost to yourself. So, it would be the 280 that I will have to order as there is no option to build the 290 at this time."

Good choice...wish I had added ACC as well...it sounds very useful with the emergency stop.

Exactly what happens with the yearly up grade/revisions. I ordered a my15 and got a my16 at no extra cost even though it have a few extras.
I'm pretty much in the same boat, just ordered one today but dealer didn't have any information on it at all - or at least wasn't willing to divulge anything!
I wonder at what point you would find out if you were going to receive a 280 or 290? Especially as they don't seem to know when production of the 290 will start...

Really like the monsoon with orange line.... I just didn't have the balls to order it!
Just been given my build week by Seat Customer Services UK. Apparently my car will be built in Week 46 which is exciting. Apparently there was an additional 4 weeks added included in that as the reversing camera is on back order. It seems crazy that there are all these lead times on this car! Hopefully it will be worth the wait.
This build date means that I should receive my car mid to late December which is better than the March date I was given for Black with the standard wheels.

Been told it could be into Jan for delivery, Surely that cant be right?

Good choice re Cupra and colour...16 weeks is about average wait for a factory order...sometimes quicker sometimes longer.

I picked up my car on Saturday and I’m loving it. Have a constant grin on my face that I don’t think will ever go away! Getting loads of looks from people, don't know if it’s the new 65 Reg or the Awesome looking Car as yet but I expect it’s the latter. Will get a few picks uploaded when I get a minute.
So my car is ready for collection on Friday (Franchised dealer)

So 91 days in total including a summer shutdown. Not to bad at all I'd say.

I ordered Monsoon grey ST290 at the beginning of Sept. With winter packet,3+ warranty,full link,front/rear sensors...can't wait but have no eta...maybe 1Q or 2Q of 2016...
