Ah no! That's **** news. Didn't think they'd of been so narrow minded knowing they could quite easily sell a bunch from keeping that as a demonstrator. Ah well.

Anyway, here's my detailed review. Hopefully it tells you what you need to know!

hi peeps, been a while since I last posted, I did actually get the car on 30/10 and I love it to bits, done over 2500 miles in it so far and apart from the initial shock of the fuel costs, totally over it now as the performance is phenomenal, I have never owned such a great car, may there be plenty more miles.

I have a few pics of it pre delivery and one from last month, plan on getting a full detail on the car but its pretty dirty just now.

Seat sound
Pano roof

Rear view camera
Lane assist
19" Multi alloys

Been told 3-4 months build date due to delays with the DSG gearbox. Is this accurate?

Not sure about a dsg delay but I know that there has been a permanent delay for standard wheels.

I would add full link too. You can get it as a dealer option but Im sure I read its £50 more doing it that way.

Full link comes as standard with the cupra 290 doesnt it?

You will not be disappointed!

Only one annoying thing about the Cupra (and it's a small one) which there was another bump stop in the doors!

Cupra 290 5dr manual in midnight black - ordered last weekend and just found out I should be able to pick it up first week of March - counting down the days and cannot wait!!

Normally don't get excited by silver cars but really think it really suits the cupra. Think that has the sub 8 pack as it has side skirt and that makes it look even better.

I was torn between the monsoon grey and ice silver, it was that video that swung it in favour of silver for me! I think silver looks very good with the the multi spoke black alloys. Damn, wish I'd specced the pano roof now as well!!

Would be interested in any new 290 owners' views on their car.

Ordered a manual Monsoon grey ST with Sub8/Performance Pack (combo not available in the UK?). Delivery planned for end of June but dealer was using an unspecific production delay list, so hoping it will come sooner
