Can I ask when you ordered yours and what spec? I went for a 290 5Dr Manual with sub 8, bucket seats and ice silver. If you went for something similar then I could use you as a rough gauge of when I might expect a confirmed build date. I ordered 20th February. I'm about to sell my M135i to get my wife something more frugal to tour about in so I'll be without a performance car until the leon arrives and not knowing when is agonising.

I ordered mine on 22 October last year and am expecting delivery Friday this week. See sig for spec.
6 months? That's depressing. I was banking on 4 months max as quoted when ordering. Were you warned yours would be 6 months at order? Did you get caught up in the shortage of standard wheels excuse?
I was told 28 weeks, and yes, that was the excuse given. So I added the black line pack but that didn't seem to change anything. In the end it will have been 25 weeks. Still, will end up with a 290 instead of 280, and avoided trying to get that power down in the crap winter weather!
I ordered 290 ST DSG, silver, ALL the extras + sub 8. 8th March. It was built last week.
Mine was built last week and is currently in transit from the factory since last Wednesday. Expecting it at the dealer in the next week or two.

You probably got stuck between the 280 and the 290...just a guess, and that's why you had a to wait for a long time.

I ordered on 20th Feb. 5dr, silver, sub 8 manual. I've not had any word that it's been built yet from the dealer though when it seems a few of you have ordered after me and had build confirmation. I'm hoping it has been built and they've just forgotten to tell me.
Just ask your dealer, he should be able to check the status of your car.

Observations:
Driven calmly can be any car
It's fast
Electric seat doesn't go as low, hope to get used to it
Interior really is nice, don't understand complaints
Full link is smart (instead of expensive GPS)
Sound system sounds surprisingly good, I think someone must have fiddled with the equaliser on the Demo car because that was far less impressive (mine was also set 'full smily' max base and treble at first, awful).

My manual doesn't seem to burble when releasing the throttle, even in Cupra engine mode and above 4k rpm. Am I doing something wrong or isn't it there? Would be nice because right now I hardly hear anything from the exhaust.

Lovely! From what I've read it seems that only the DSG makes the crackling sound. Still waiting for my car. Is that the dark grey?
