They are both 6000K kits, the Ibiza ones look a little blue-er in the photo because they were still in the process of warming up - they do look a lot better.
You can get a 4300K kit I think that isn't as blue - but to be honest you really want to see them in real life to decide sometimes the picture can be misleading, I don't find them as blue as they are pictured.
A lot of people find that with HID's they have no need for main beams, in all honesty I still use mines on a B road at night if I need to, I've not really thought about putting HID's into my mains as they don't get used a lot - and I flash (Easy now...) a lot of people around town.
My original kit cost me a fair whack, this one was a great deal cheaper and the kit is the exact same, if not easier to set up with built in starters... I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

Yer, i find when photographing lights they appear bluer than to the eye. They look nice m8! If i get a kit, it would deffo be the 6000k. The link to the set you've bought of ebay, says the seller is no longer registered on ebay...is that not a tad worrying?? I would've been interested in a set at that price! I've seen others that cheap, but u never know how good they are when on ebay etc
I see that about being no longer registered, I received them no problem and went to leave feedback today and noticed that.
IMO so long as you pay with PayPal you should be OK - a lot of people sell them and they ones seemed ideal so I went for them

It won't let me send them a message because they have been banned or whatever.
If your really interested though, I know of someone on another forum who sells HID kits and he has sold a good number of them and never had a problem.
He charges about £120ish all in though.

Just another update and some new pics for you guys, I went out today to tidy up the wiring and give the ballasts a better fix.
I couldn't find anywhere to mount the ballasts securely so I found a couple of flat surfaces, gave them a good clean and fixed them in with Velcro... I applied the Velcro to both the surfaces and ballasts, I left them like that for half an hour so that they stuck well before fixing them together... I also fitted my chrome grill at the same time.
Anyways, hopefully these pics are a little bit better now you can see.
Pic One - This shows the 25mm holes I cut on the light covers.
Pic Two - The offside headlamp, plenty clearance for the bulb, no need to remove the reflector.
Pic Three - Same again though the nearside.
Pic Four - Shows where the offside ballast will be located.
Pic Five - Showing where the nearside ballast will be located.
Pic Six - Velcro applied to offside ballast.
Pic Seven - Velcro applied to nearside ballast.
Pic Eight - Offside ballast now secured in place, wiring cable tied together so it can't catch the utility belt.
Pic Nine - Nearside ballast in place and wiring tied together.
Pic Ten - A pic of the HID's after warming up for a minute, maybe a little blue as they are still brand new.

Now that was exactly what i needed! Shows exactly what you've done...all in all, it seems like a pretty simple little mod really. When you order the HID kit, do you need to get the shortened H7 bulbs? Also, the grommet you've used for the holes in the covers....did that come with your kit? It seems pretty heavy duty looking!
Btw, anyone else think this should be made a sticky? Seems like theres a lot of useful info in here now.

on SF? from what i've seen of the bosch ones so far, they require an additional relay to be connected up to your battery...whereas yours and other kits, just use the standard wiring from the dipped beam spade connectors. Can you link me to Unikarl's kits?

Its all road legal and e-marked, which is definately something i'd want, and the kit seems pretty good. Its a bit more than i want to pay, but its better than other kits up at £230 etc

They seem alright, I won't be able to link you to Karl's kits as this forum filters out the url to the website. I've added you to MSN to link you.
I also tried to fit a set of Philips Xenon Sidelight bulbs today too... when I turned them on they looked a little chavvy... I don't want the car blending in with the local saxo's n stuff with that sort of idea so I put the original sidelights back in.
sounds like a good idea...we'd need to find a seller that sells a kit we all agree on as being suitable and of a decent standard etc....no point saving money if its a pants piece of kit.

i've emailed the turborevs company, so I will let you know what he says on receipt of answers.
Im trying to find a kit which only requires you to plug the ballasts into the original spade connectors and the new hid bulbs and thats it, as there are some kits (eg. the bosch ones i've seen), which also require an additional relay to be connected to the battery (which i'd rather not need do).
