I am wanting to remove clocks on my mk4 ibiza to do some soldering to hopefully cure my immobiliser problems, but before I attempt this I was wondering how difficult is it to remove them, is it worth attempting??
Move steering wheel fully out and fully down, remove steering collumn trim and instument cluster trim. Then remove the cluster, there are 2 large multi plugs on the back of it.
Good luck mate, I removed one of these to try and cure a faulty fuel gauge and failed even though I am a wizz with an iron Personally I think my brothers intermittent fuel gauge was a problem with one of the chips in the cluster as aposed to a dry solder joint, I must have resoldered every possible joint.
