MK4 ibiza cupra central locking beep

When i lock my car i get a very faint click from under the front scuttle panel but no beep.
Is this normal and do i need to have the beep set up on vagcom?
Or is the beeper ****ed?

no beep unless its programmed tobeep on vagcom, but i read somewhere this is illegal???

Think the beep (when enabled) comes from the car alarm siren, so easily tested.

Well i am dont know whether it is knackered or not.
It does try to make a sound but it sounds like a click from under the scuttle panel so not sure.

That could just be a relay clicking to activate the lock actuators.

set the alarm off put the windows down lock the car throw something (soft!) in the car or put the bonnet up lock the car and wait!

didn't know mine had an alarm until I set it off...mines makes an ever so slight beep or chirp when I lock it, it's about the same volume as the locks but deffo a beep/chirp. as above it should be something that can be switched on/off with vagcom
