• Hi Guest There will be essential maintenance on the server on Monday 10th November from 5am meaning the website will be offline for a period of time. We will do everything to ensure the downtime is kept to a minimum.
there have been various threads about the replacement to the recently facelifted Ibiza MK4.
Last night i stumbled upon the pics from a magazine i saw ages ago :)
the front and side profile are very "mini 3dr Leon" unfortunately, the rear just screams "FORD KA "

does anyone know if this is what the MK5 is gonna be in 18 months time??

that does look ok from the side but it has that ka rear end look front grill looks like the pre face lift

these pics are obviously just a PS style mock up, because if you look at the two pics together, you can't see the rear bumper line or the "wrap-around" rear lights on the front aspect pic.
also, there's no fuel filler flap on either side?? not that i can see anyway

Not too impressed.

Superminis have to have plenty of space inside these days and in order to accomplish that I think it would have to be pretty tall which wouldn't look too good. I don't think you can just shrink down the existing models and still fit four people in. In addition, the shoulder line at the rear would limit head and shoulder room and the rear hatch and luggage space looks tiny.

I don't really like the swoopy swage line on the new Leon and I don't think it adds anything to this design.

Could they produce a five door version without having a completely different body shape? Would that front pass the new pedestrian safety regulations?

Having said all that, no doubt SEAT will put it into production:D

I like that alot. I think it's a much better design than the new Leon or anything else from SEAT at the moment (sorry MKII Leon / Toledo / Altea owners!)

Interesting read this thread, if you read threads about the new MK4 beeza coming out, alot of people didnt like the "soft" looks over the MK3/MK2 before it.

I dont like the rear end, thats a given. Personally dont want it to look like a mini altea/leon but lets be honest, its going to happen. So im sticking with my MK4 and probs (unless they bring out a TT like car) not ever going to purchase another Seat.

Next on my list is a classic, and Seat dont have any im after :p

I don't think its that bad, but since its a photoshop and not an official release, I won't believe it til I see it.

I just really dont understand why they are making all models look exactly the god dam same!.......I wouldnt buy it if it was the new design

Not worth debating, it's too small, how would they make a 5 door? it's just someones opinion what it'll look like, looks more like a new arosa (if they made one) the ibiza has to be bigger and yes it will probably look very much like the leon!

I like it, got something going on thats different to other manufacturers which is one of the things I like about Seat. Its only a design, don't think that would ever go into production as it would have terrible blind spots on it and there is no way that could be a 5 door!

thats proper rough!!!!!!

to me it looks like the new mitsubishi colt

small very un-sporty too futuristic
really hope this idea falls throu imo!

Don't like it at all! Cross between a shrunken Leon/Altea crossover. Think both cars are attractive in their own way, but this is just frankly awful! Come on SEAT you can do better. :ban:
