Just got back from the rolling road day ate awesome GTI,

After getting very lost i finally arrived at 11:30 and my car was ran at just before 1.

Results aren't as high as i had of hoped but nevermind...

Three runs in total, with the best being:

174bhp @ 3805 revs with 301 lb/ft of torque

which was around 160bhp at the wheels..

Now one quick question, my car needs an oil change, would this alter my results????

What do you think?

edit: mods are

Custom code phase 1
FMIC
2.5" bore exhaust
Cupra air intake
Green panel filter

think the 130 turbo is good for max 185-190. Ant Fr's is pretty tuned and he has around 185 mark

175bhp a little low for what you should have but it is deffo more than that feller look at your 1/4mile time, that or your a awesome driver!

RR Lottery!

if oil is at end of life than yes it will increase bhp.

my car feels different about 6,000miles into oils life sotry to change at 5k

you should of changed it before going on, (naughty)

Mate this has been discussed in great depth before that awesome GTI cannot calculate accurate flywheel figures. They are spot on @ wheels but suspect @ flywheel.

For instance my own car showed 234@ wheels and 239@ flywheel giving a loss of 5bhp through the transmission:D Now take from that what you want but i have 2 other VAG based tuners rolling road results showing between 270-275 @ flywheel and exactly the same 235ish @ wheels!

Your 160 @ wheels will equate to around 195-200 @ flywheel. There will be another RR day soon at JBS and you'll notice the difference in flywheel figures;)

But its power @ wheels where it counts and 160bhp @ wheels is a very healthy figure. Dont take too much into the flywheel thing mate :)

going back to the marlin rolling road day when spaniels car put out 193 i think he got about 170 at the wheels so i would say your running 180! spaniels was running more power though but the wheel bhp was correct for what the engine was doing! but as was said before your 0- 60 and 1/4 mile times are very good in the 14's and only going over the line at 91 mph shows its very fast through the low gears prob uptill about 70 when it will struggle a bit

Ive just been researching on the web...

Diesels tend to lose around 15% of power through the transmission, therefore 160 at the wheels equates to 185ish at the flywheel...

Im happy with the wheel power figure but not the fly???

will have to put it on another set of rollers...

Come on JBS...!!!!!!!

You dont add 15% onto your wheel figure, you take 15% away from a theoretical figure, for instance......

160bhp @ wheels * 1.15 = 184bhp

189bhp @ flywheel *0.85 = 160 @ wheels

See how the 2 figures are different;) The 2nd example is the way you calculate, not the 1st example.

Your car will easily have 190 @ flywheel, wait until the JBS RR day;)
