Ain't posted on this in a while. Getting a few things done after all. Keep onto it for now, simply because there was a deal that there would be no fuss or argueing over the car when the time came for my brother to pass his test. (Even though it's my car by now)... But being a names driver on my dad's insurance, he kinda has the upper hand. And buying a Golf GT TDi, like I was going to do has gone out of the window until after Uni or during... ahh well.

Polished her up last week, few things getting done in the next 2 - 3 weeks I hope... Update as I go on;

Erm... becauuuse *trying to think of an explination... nothing's happening* I don't know *-) :p... Buut - It will be soon enough mind. Would like to keep it during uni, (at home) then when I get some money togethor on my 2nd / 3rd year, drop a VR6 or a ABF engine into it. But facelifting and lowering are on the cards now... and keeping it mint. :)

I do, I'm learning slowly... and it's becoming evermore frightening and challenging each time I read a thread or build etc. on it.

i dont think its that complicated once you get ur head round it. theres only 3 stages:
1. bigger brakes
2. engine and transmission
3 wiring, fuel, clocks

if anybody asks why theres a bolt that has no where to go just say its a spare ;)

Ha, thanks mate. Will bare that in mind! I might just mod this up the best I can really... (for a 1.4) keep it looking mint, then eventually buy a GTi *which is way more logical, but not as fun* but at the financial end of things - it makes much more sense to buy one I guess.

Woah that's a hellova difference! For the better too! Love it! :) Can't wait to do mine now! Yeah man, definatley, they look savage!

How much and where did you get your bumpers from / for? There's someone on the BAY with some going for £20 each + P&P charging... in Tornado red. He hasn't got back to me since the 30th December though :/... pretty gutted.

i got them brand new from a seller called katmotorsport in doncaster. they came primed. bought the grill and front bumper from there for 80 quid, got side skirts from scrappers for 20 quid, rear bumper from scrappers for 44 quid but it was painted black. the splitter is really hard to find but only cost 11.50.
do you know how to make them all fit?

Ah cool! :) I'll keep on searching. Not that many scrappers around here, so the Bay is my best option. I've found a guide off here! And just saved it! :) But have you got a different way? Came across the one with strips of aliminium tin and tacks covering the arch liners etc. How did you do it?
