Money to spend...on what though

Or log the car for requested and actual boost if whoever owns the car cant be arsed to put it back to standard when it goes in, or if they buy a non switchable map. I dont believe that the VAS systems in the garages can read the ECU, but I do know that it is possible for the car to be interogated remotely now through the stealer set up, according to a SEAT mechanic I know.

Could be wrong, but i think its still the cast that the ECU needs to come out and be read to see if it has non-oem code on it.

They wouldnt even need to log it, one quick spin of a mapped car and its clear.

Will ask my audi tech guy and seat stealer about the ecu interrogation though

Thats quite interesting actually. I will ask on Monday when I take the car to the dealers about the springs. Any idea who makes them for SEAT?

Know a guy from my midnight activities who had a modded mk2 ST. Destroyed the engine and clutch etc. Took mods off car, got his mum to take the car into ford, ford now fitting new engine, clutch and some other bits.

BIG PROBLEM !!!!

The way forward now is to let SEAT read the vehicle codes online while its plugged in to our VAS5051 but they can tell if it has been remapped - apparently they scan all the binary codes and can pick up amended values. We had a warranty invalidated at our other branch because of this so its not bulls**t. Looks like my only option now is to get it mapped back to standard and that will either remove the problem (bad remap) or let us fix an underlying problem.

BOTTOM LINE - YOUR DEALER MIGHT NOT KNOW ITS BEEN REMAPPED BUT SEAT WILL :([:@]

Revo can also put the standard file back on the car if absolutely necessary. If the cost of an engine was in the balance, it would be daft not to have the car towed to the remap reseller before it got to the stealer.
