Excesive Carbon Monoxide, my first thoughts are fooked front lambda. What do you guys think?

Here's what the test sheets reads:

Fast Idle Test
Speed 2650 / min
CO 3.46 % Vol
HC 150ppm
Lambda 0.91

2nd Fast Idle Test
Speed 2760 / min
CO 3.33 % Vol
HC 156ppm
Lambda 0.91

Natural Idle test
Speed 850 / min
CO 2.56% Vol

can't remember the block, but it'll tell you if the probe is reading lambda 1 or not at idle/fast idle

My engine light is permanently on, still not fitted the resistors since removing EVAP & SAI:whistle:

Both Lambda's ordered and should be there for when i get back, post cat has had the wire ripped clean out of it!! bloody speed bumps!! Might stick a claim in to the council for it haha

What cat are you running? Also what software is the car running?

Yip, got one fitted Bill are they prone to failing?

I'm with out vag-com just now so i have no way of seeing what codes etc are coming up or what anything is actually doing, the new laptop i bought mainly for running vag-com has vista and no serial ports  I've got the full version but just need a compatable laptop to run it.

While under the car i noticed that the flexi section on dp has been crushed a little after i reversed into a wall. But it's isn't leaking at all so i ruled that one out.

No idea what kind of cat it is but it wa one of the few AM DP's that were sold. It's sailed through 2 previous MOT's.

The FPR was fitted prior to mapping, it's a one off map and has been fine for 2.5 years.

Does your car have 2 lambda probes? As if the second one is duff the car will just lose performance and run rich hence the mot problems it might not show up in vag com either! We had to replace one recently on a standard catted car the owner had no idea there was a problem, check it out and see what colour it is!

Two new probes were fitted after the first test and the emissions got worse.

The car's been running without a post cat lambda for 6months with no decrease in performance got RR runs to verify this.;)

I've got vagcom up and running do any of you know which groups etc i'd be best logging to find the problem?

Would the removal of EVAP & Secondary Air Injection cause my problems? I don't think it would but i'm no car technician.

I'm back offshore again but while i was having a play with vag-com i noticed that all the lambda readings i found were fixed at either at 0 or -4.7? Which is defo not right so checked all the connections and wiring from the probes right back to the ecu and everything was fine.

The strange thing is that my A/R gauge is still working kind of?? Although it does sit very rich most the time especially when idling instead of bouncing back and forth but will go very lean when off the throttle.

Any ideas?

You usin a proper wideband A/F gauge? If not it will bounce back and for as the narrowband reads pretty much on or off.

Lambda readings on what block? 032, 031?

0 and -4.7 look pretty good to me.
