my car drinks more than me!!!

Can any1 else tell me what kind of mpg i should be gettin out my 2.0. At first i was gettin about 32mpg now im lucky to get over 27mpg and im not cannin it.
Any ideas what could of cused this thanx for your wisdom O wise one!!!!

When I had a sudden decrease in MPG in my 2.0 8v it was caused by a split in the crankcase breather pipe. Shown highlighted in photo below:

It is a dealer only part, comes in two bits, and is about £20 for each part (ouch!).

yea i got a 16v mine has got a split in the crank case breather pipe didnt think anythink ov it. £20 dealer only part (I HATE THE DEALERS) will look into it so what you gettin mpg wise.

Mine was the same until i was advised to use Redex. Ive not normally warmed up to engine treatments etc but i thought what the heck. I tried it and i have to say i am very impressed. Ive also switched from regular unleaded to Super Unleaded. This has given me and extra 30-40 miles per tank!!

I recommend deffinatley giving Redex a try!

i used to use redex in my old mini never thought to give it a go in this. will give it ago. Not hopeing for miricals you have to strech her legs sometimes.
